I Love Movies Over the recent years, the New York International Latino Film Festival has grown to reflect the shifting American landscape by including a wider array of communities and partners. While we are a Latino film festival, we recognize that filmmaking is a collaborative, all-inclusive form of art and expression and that's why we encourage everyone, not just Latinos, to be part of this festival. This year, we wanted to make a bold statement about filmmaking. Along with leading multicultural agency GlobalHue Latino, we paired Margarita Jimeno, winner of our Watch Yourself commercial contest, with award-winning director Tony Kaye (American History X) to produce a very intense, controversial spot. Why not take a risk, break some long-held taboos and start a dialogue? So, let’s talk. After you've watched the short, make a comment below.
